Reflection
This module has been an incredible journey, introducing me to two powerful software applications: Photoshop and After Effects. Each task and exercise throughout the 14 weeks brought something new and expanded my skills. Since I am from a different background of study, all this is very new to me. Both Photoshop and After Effects were equally challenging for me. However, with time and practice, I found both software to be accessible and easy to grasp.
There were moments when the tasks and software became confusing, leading to some frustration. Initially, the tasks required more time as I familiarized myself with the software, but as the semester progressed, I became a bit more efficient. Along the way, I encountered technical issues such as slow or lag system that sometimes took a while to solve since I have an old laptop causing stress and frustration. However, I learned to overcome these challenges and improve my work by applying what I had learned from previous tasks.
One aspect that stood out to me was the amount of time I used to Photoshop and animate using After Effects at the same time. I spent many hours editing images for my tasks, but it was worth it to see the progress in my work. Overall, this module provided a mix of anticipation and stress. While there were moments of frustrations, I found the content and creative work to be engaging. Seeing my growth from project one to the final project was fulfilling and demonstrated how far I had come in just 14 weeks.
All in all, I really enjoy and learned a lot from this DPI module even though it is just a free elective module. The support from my classmates and lecturer throughout this journey were really amazing and I'm thankful for them. Collaborating and discussing ideas with them was invaluable, as we learned from each other and overcame challenges together. It created a supportive environment that contributed to our individual and collective success.
